Reviews
Based right in the centre of Kungsbacka which is a pretty little town. We had a very spacious room on the 5th floor with great views. Great foldaway bunk beds for the kids and an inbuilt magnification mirror in the bathroom. A must for the over 50s đ
Hotel staff is nice, Kungsbacka is a great place to stay, and the hotel in generally clean.
However, the restaurant next door where they have their breakfast service and clearly some sort of business partnership, Rum 35, was having some kind of launch party for a night of our stay. The hotel not only allowed this company to shoot fireworks off outside our window, but the party was supposed to end at 22:00, and itâs currently after midnight and itâs still going. No one is here to complain to because they close up the front desk at 23:00. They didnât bother telling the party to close up so as not to disturb their paying guests (with children and business people and all) and the bass from the music is currently buzzing in our floor and our ears (because there is no sound insulation from the outside). We just wanted to get a good nightsâ sleep to continue our travels, but they made that pretty impossible. So weâre paying because they couldnât be bothered to have a small confrontation for the sake of the wellbeing of their guests. I understand that Rum 35 also has a responsibility to make sure they arenât disturbing the community (if we wanted to stay above a club, we wouldâve stayed in Göteborg), but Best Western/Hotell Halland also had a responsibility to advocate for their guests and they chose not to. Our windows are literally shaking, so I would suggest skipping over this hotel if youâre looking to get a decent nightsâ sleep.
Staff did their best.
Place looks better than it did, but I'd say the bedrooms look a bit dated but don't know when they got updated.
Main issue for us, the breakfast was simply rubbish. Cold coffee, no proper European options and the Scandinavians don't do breakfast very well and this was even worse. I left the place hungry. Sad really given they they have the position.
I've been going to this hotel for almost all of my visits to Sweden and I must say it's wonderful, the service is exemplary (though they seem to have missed my request for extra large towels) and the breakfast is amazing there's a wide variety, delicious bread rolls, sandwich toppings, cereal, yoghurt, juice and coffee, and the little sausages and bacon are so good.
You can't go wrong with this hotel, soap, shampoo are provided the rooms are gorgeous with really comfortable beds and convenient TVs. They always provide complimentary treats like teabags instant coffee sachets, a couple of sweets and two bottles of really nice flavoured sparkling water.
All I can say is thank you!
The room was good, but a bit to warm. Toilets were fresh and good but a bit too small. The staff was nice and welcoming. The hotel breakfast was quite bad, the juice and coffee was to diluted. And the fruit was bad. Other wise a good stay, would recommend
Perfect Hotel across the train station of Kungsbacka
The room was large enough for a single traveller, the bathroom shows nordic styling elements
Absolut friendly and helpfully staff, bicycle parking behind the reception in a separate room
Breakfast buffet, gluten free bread came out of the freezer and had to be toasted in a non gluten free toaster (for me it was ok, others would say it contaminated the gf bread)
Hotel on the edge of the (small but cosy) city center. We had room 502, which is the top-level corner room, with a view over the city. Rooms are fine, clean and nicely decorated. Hotel halls and rooms have Roy Liechtenstein works everywhere. Breakfast is good, and in shifts due to corona. Nice detail is that they had a storage room for our bicycles (we were doing the Kattegattleden).
The worst organized hotel i have ever visited firstly they issue more parking vouchers than they have parking spaces available so for the second day we had to find alternative parking even though we got a ticket for parking our whole stay. Second the breakfast staff are too slow cleaning of the tables and refilling empty trays.
Thirdly the rooms have appaling air quality i woke up many times during the night because of this. On top of this the hotel was more expensive than the one we had in in central Göteborg the night before.
They told us we got an upgrade.. But if this is upgrade i dont wanna know what standard is
